Saldanha Spinach & Feta Pie with Tuna
  • 1 x 170g can Saldanha Flaked Light Meat Tuna in Vegetable Oil
  • 150g spinach, chopped
  • 2 rounds of feta cheese, ±160g
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 chilli, chopped
  • 1 tsp chutney
  • 1 tsp mustard sauce OR paste
  • 1 roll of puff pastry, rolled out and cut into 2
  • 1 egg, beaten and mixed with 2 tsp milk
  • 2 tbsp oil for frying
  1. Fry onion and chilli in oil until soft.
  2. Add chutney and mustard.
  3. Grease pie dish.
  4. Roll 1 piece of pastry to fit a large pie dish. Place pastry into dish, pushing gently into the corners.
  5. Place feta, spinach and onion mix on the pastry.
  6. Spread the tuna chunks over the mix.
  7. Cover with the second piece of rolled out pastry.
  8. Pinch edges of pastry together, trimming off any excess.
  9. Brush with egg and milk mixture and bake for 30 minutes at 180˚C.

Takes about 60 minutes.
